              - Google Meet Friday to answer questions, talk about the upcoming assignments and give info on current concepts. I strongly encourage students to come and engage!

IMPORTANT : If you are feeling overwhelmed in Math or if you are struggling with what we have been doing so far or if you feel disconnected and need time to connect via google meet with your teacher please e-mail me and let me know!!! I will gladly schedule smaller group google meets with students who need it to teach lessons, help tutor or clarify concepts.

1.  Access the notes on the film study.  Read about the different camera angles and movements and what they mean/what they are used for in the filming of a movie.  Read about colour symbolism and think about how this would apply to costuming.
2.  Choose a movie (school appropriate) and watch it while taking into consideration what you learned from your film study notes.
3.  Fill in the film study chart provided.
(This work overall will take more than 2 hours...you can divide it as needed over the course of this week and next)

Math
- We will continue working on Chapter 6 : linear equations.
- Look on D2L for any important information.

Comeau	ELA	1.  Take a look at the comments I left in Powerschool for your personal response essays.  Many of the suggestions for improvement can be used for writing your business letters. 2. Take a look at the feedback that I gave you on your letter so far.  Use the advice to make modifications and improvements. 3.  Write the rest of the body of your business letter.  It should be at least one page (single spaced) in length! 4.  Use the checklist provided to revise your work.  Make any necessary improvements 5.  Share with a friend and peer review each others' work and make any necessary improvements. The good draft of your letter is due by Friday! Task 1:  Complete the 2 business letter worksheets.  You will find them on D2L under 'content' 
Task 2:  Continue writing your business letter.  Last week you wrote the heading and inside address.  This week you are just to write the introductory paragraph.  When you have both of these tasks done, you can share it with me as a google doc and give me permission to edit.
Task 3:  Join us for tutorial Wednesday at 1:30.  We will go over the worksheets and we can workshop some of the introductory paragraphs together.

If all goes as planed, I will be available for online Tutorials on Monday's and Thursday's from 9:30 (sharp!) to 10:00. I will post a link in D2L before the meetings and I will be available for longer if needed.

ELA:  

My office hours for ELA 9 are Wednesdays from 1:30-2:00.  This will be a great opportunity for you to tune in so that we can go through the letter format together.  

This week, I will post a 'quiz' on D2L which will essentially be a treasure hunt of information about the business letter, using the document that I provided you with last week.  From there I would like you to get a start on a business letter.  I will provide you with a PAT prompt, and I would like you to use the information to simply prepare your envelope, heading and inside address for now.
